Football Development Officer appointed
We are very pleased to announce that Manuel Montagna has accepted the role of Football Development Officer (FDO) starting in 2025.
Manuel is a familiar face around FC Nelson, having coached our Get Cars FC Nelson Diamonds Womens team this year, as well as assisting with coaching in our FC Nelson Wellington Phoenix Pre-Academy and FC Nelson Academy. Manuel is also a member of our FC Nelson Locomotive playing group.
Manuel has taken up the role of Football Development Officer to lead our programmes and help us achieve our football objectives for 2025 and beyond, overseeing:- Junior Skill Centre & Pre-Academy as well as assisting and coaching in the FC Nelson Academy- Community Football - Girls & Womens Football Development- School Football programmes- Holiday Programmes- Off-field requirements such as gear management- Community Coach Education
